Diablo Valley College, a publicly supported, comprehensive community college, prepares students to engage in advanced studies through transfer to four year programs, equips them to become skilled and current in their respective professions, and provides courses and programs that promote lifelong learning. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    You’ll need to enter courses and grades from all colleges you have attended. If you're a sophomore transfer applicant, you'll also need your high school records.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you're a sophomore transfer applicant, include your ACT with Writing and/or SAT scores.
  • Essay:
    Think of your personal statement as your chance to tell us who you are and what’s important to you. What you tell us in your essays gives us the context to better understand the rest of the information you’ve provided in your application.

    DVC generally accepts transcripts from institutions that are accredited by one of the six regional accrediting associations in the United States in order to evaluate for equivalent coursework.
