Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration is 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale). If you are applying to the College of Commerce, School of Education or the School of Music, the minimum GPA is 2.5.
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school transcripts are required if applying with less than 30 credits. College transcripts, from every institution attended, are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT/ACT scores are required if applying with less than 30 credits.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required for general admissions consideration.
  • Essay:
    Not required for general admissions consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    The application fee for transfer students is $25 if you apply online, or $40 (check or money order) if you submit a paper application. This application fee is non-refundable.
  • Interview:
    Auditions or portfolio reviews are required for applicants to the School of Music and the Theatre School.
  • Other Requirements:
    Applicants to the School of Music and the Theatre School may only apply in the for the fall. Applicants must be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended. Nursing applicants also must submit a copy of their RN license.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, credit may be granted for courses taken at regionally accredited institutions when a grade of at least a C- has been earned.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Maximum credits from a two-year institution - 66 credits. Maximum credits from a four-year institution - 88 credits.
