Delta State is a public institution providing a comprehensive undergraduate curriculum to over 4,000 students representing 34 states and 20 countries. We are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor, master, educational specialist, and doctorate degrees. We offer 12 baccalaureate degrees in 38 majors and seek to meet the need for advanced training in certain fields by providing programs of study for nine master’s degrees, the Educational Specialist degree and the Doctor of Education degree.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The Student Financial Aid Office administers the Federal & State financial aid programs including Pell Grants, loans, Federal Work Study and state scholarships. We also monitor all scholarship awards made by DSU and off-campus scholarship information.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration is a 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official high school transcripts, as well official transcripts from all previously attended colleges, are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official SAT/ACT test scores are required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required for transfer admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 must be submitted with the application for admission.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required. We encourage you to meet with your Recruiter prior to applying for admission to the University.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum grade accepted for transfer credits is C.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You must have 24 credits to apply as a transfer student. The max we accept from a 2-year is 62 credit hours, 93 from a 4-year. 25% of a degree program and 31 credits must be completed at DSU for a baccalaureate degree.
