  • Accepts Transfers:
    Yes. We are an open door institution and welcome transfer students, regardless of their prior college experience. Many degree completers transfer to Delaware County Community College to retool, retrain and refresh.
  • Transfer Applications Received:
    Hundreds of students with prior college experience apply. They are not obligated to seek transfer credit and are not uniformly tracked.
  • Transfer Applications Accepted:
    All transfer applicants are accepted.

  • Transfer Applicants Enrolled:
    Many students request credit evaluations after admission and enrollment. Consequently, we do not uniformly track this data.

    The Transfer Office has entered into a number of agreements with various colleges and universities. Among these special opportunities are dual and guaranteed admission, and core-to-core articulation agreements.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Since we are an open door institution, all individuals with prior college experience are welcome, regardless of academic performance.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts must be submitted if student wishes to petition for transfer credit evaluation.
  • SAT Scores:
    Not required for admission, students can submit official scores to be used for possible placement in English and mathematics. Scores must be current within the past 5 years.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required
  • Essay:
    Not required
  • Application Fee:
    We do not charge an application fee.
  • Interview:
    Not required but a welcome component of the entry process.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    An Associate Degree is not required to transfer to us.

    Normally a grade of C or better required. However, acceptance depends on course appropriateness to selected curriculum and specific requirements within particular majors.

    65% of our degree students are in transfer programs. 75% of transfer programs graduates do transfer, but additional students transfer before degree completion.
