Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission is 2.0.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school transcripts and/or official GED transcripts are required, in addition to official transcripts from colleges or universities previously attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    The submission of official standardized test scores is required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A statement of good standing from your previously attended institution is required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $40 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview may be requested of some for admission consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    A Certificate of Immunization is required. Transfer students must demonstrate proficiency in communication technology and information literacy within one year of admission.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, courses completed at a regionally accredited college or university will transfer. Credit is allowed for English 1101 and 1102 if the grade in each course is C or better.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students with less than 30 semester hours of credit must satisfy all requirements for admission as Freshmen. Regardless of the total transfer credit hours allowed, a minimum of 36 semester hours must be taken at CSU to earn a bachelors degree.
