Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Through the Colby Commitment, we pledge to meet 100 percent of each admitted student’s demonstrated financial need without loans. In recent years, more than 90 percent of families with an income of $200,000 or less have qualified for some form of financial assistance. If your family has a total income of $65,000 or less and has assets typical of this income range, we’ve ensured they will have a parent or guardian contribution of $0.

Application Deadlines for Transfer

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  A minimum college GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for transfer admission consideration.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official college and high school transcripts are required.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement is required.
• Other Requirements:
  A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Courses taken at other accredited institutions, in which grades of C or higher have been earned (the courses may not be taken with pass/fail or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grading), may be credited toward the Colby degree.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  A maximum of 64 credits may be accepted for transfer credit. You must complete 64 credits at Colby to earn your bachelor's degree.
