Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college and high school transcripts are required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is required.
  • Other Requirements:
    A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Courses taken at other accredited institutions, in which grades of C or higher have been earned (the courses may not be taken with pass/fail or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grading), may be credited toward the Colby degree.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 64 credits may be accepted for transfer credit. You must complete 64 credits at Colby to earn your bachelor's degree.
