    A number of financial aid opportunities are available from federal, state and private sources to help admitted students attend Champlain College. Our Financial Aid staff is ready to assist you with any questions or problems you may have. Throughout the application process, we encourage you to keep in mind the importance of completing forms by the appropriate deadlines, so that you keep yourself eligible for the greatest amount of financial aid available to you.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Champlain does not publish a minimum GPA requirement for admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Champlain requires the submission of official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions previously attended, as well as official high school transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must submit official SAT/ACT test scores if you graduated high school after 2001.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are optional, but recommended.
  • Essay:
    In addition to a personal essay, a short writing piece elaborating on your extracurricular activities and/or work experience is required with your application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is NO FEE for electronic submission of your application and supplement. If application is mailed to Champlain College, please submit your application and supplement with your $50 application fee to the attention of the Director of Admission.
  • Interview:
    Champlain does not publish a requirement for a personal interview.
  • Other Requirements:
    You must submit a Common Application Supplement. Students who are applying for various majors within our Division of Communications and Creative Media are required to submit a portfolio for review by our faculty as part of their application.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses with a C or higher will transfer to Champlain.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students must complete their final 45 credits at Champlain.
