Cerro Coso Community College is one of three colleges in the Kern Community College District. The College is charged with the responsibility of providing educational opportunities for the widely separated desert, mountain, and valley communities within a sweeping 18,000-mile, four-county region of eastern California. Cerro Coso's service area includes a population base of just over 85,000 individuals. The College officially opened in the fall of 1973, and within the year began expanding its service area to include the present region.

    All students must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal Application at FAFSA on the Web every year. The Cerro Coso Title IV Federal School Code (010111) must be entered on your FAFSA so that your information will be transmitted to us electronically.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Enrollment Fees are set by the state for $46.00 per unit with no cap on the fee. All non-resident students will be charged a non-resident tuition fee of $271 per unit. This is in addition to the Enrollment Fees.
