  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Financial aid eligibility is determined by a review of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). We encourage all students and their families to complete the FAFSA every year as early as January 1st. Students who wish to be considered for the State of Maine Grant must submit the FAFSA by May 1st. The FAFSA can be filed at www.fafsa.ed.gov. CMCC's Title IV School Code is 005276.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts from all colleges previously attended are required. If you have been matriculated at a regionally accredited institution and have at least 15 college-level credits, your high school transcript or GED is not required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants are strongly encouraged to take SATs, especially if their educational goals may include transferring to a four-year institution after Central Maine Community College.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $40 non-refundable application fee.

    You must meet the prerequisite requirements of the academic program you have selected.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All courses with a C or better are reviewed for transfer credit and will be posted within 5 business days of receipt of the of?cial transcript.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students who are admitted to the College must earn a minimum of 25% of their program course requirements from CMCC.

  • Transfer Agreements:
    Central Maine Community College has agreements with several institutions which allow graduates of some College Associate Degree pro grams to transfer with advanced standing in specific baccalaureate programs.
