  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    In order to receive financial aid while attending CLC you need to complete a financial aid file at CLC. Make sure that the CLC school code is on your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). CLC’s school code is 002339. The Financial Aid Office at Central Lakes College has developed a comprehensive financial aid program based on federal, state, institutional and private resources to help students cover the cost of education. CLC annually awards assistance to about 80% of its students.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Base tuition = $180/credit x 15cr x 2 semesters = $5423. Parking $75. Fees $640. Total tuition and fees per credit = $204.64.

  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Competency-based education allows students to present nontraditional learning as competencies to be evaluated for credit by qualified faculty members toward their educational program.

    CLC requires official transcripts to transfer coursework/credits to CLC. Official paper transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope. Hand-delivered transcripts must arrive unopened with the official seal intact.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 grading scale in 40 Minnesota Transfer Curriculum credits in the ten goal areas to complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum requirement.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A minimum of one-fourth (25%) of the required credits for graduation must be completed at CLC.
