Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Typically, CCSU likes to admit students with a college grade point average of a C or better after completing at least 12 or more college-level credits (not including remedial coursework) from regionally accredited institutions. However, higher grade point averages may be required for particular academic programs.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer students must submit their official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended, as well as their official high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores if the applicant has successfully completed more than twelve college level credits or has been out of school for more than five years.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Letters of recommendation are optional.
  • Essay:
    The submission of a personal essay on the topic of your choice is optional.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview may be requested of some for admission consideration.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit is typically awarded to students who earn a C- or higher in 100 level or above course work from regionally accredited institutions.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum credits accepted as transfer is 45. You must finish 45 credits at Central Connecticut State University to earn a bachelor's degree.
