Casper College, established in 1945, is one of the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in the region. Students from Wyoming, the United States and beyond attend Casper College. Our students transfer or join the workforce having received a quality education. Casper College has more than 135 academic transfer and technical and career programs. Located in Casper, the campus consists of 28 buildings on more than 200 acres. The grounds are distinctive, with terraces that surround the modern buildings. Casper provides students with a big city feel without the big city hassles.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Casper College awarded $4.2 million in scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year and over $10 million in total financial aid. Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly referred to as the FAFSA, is a great first step. Be sure to use the Casper College School Code: 003928. Applying for scholarships is essential as well. Our deadlines run January 1-March 1 for fall and October 1-November 1 for spring.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    We offer reverse-transfer options, as well.
  • Transfer Applications Received:
    Along with a completed application, students need to submit all previous transcripts to be reviewed. We accept most credit(s) from regionally accredited institutions.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Minimum GPA is a 2.0. Any person with below a 2.0 will be asked to petition for admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts must be sent directly to Casper College from ALL colleges attended. Transfer students who have earned more than 30 transferable college credits will not be required to submit high school or equivalency transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer students may not need placement scores, depending on transfer coursework.
  • Other Requirements:
    Application deadline is typically two weeks prior to the start of the semester.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades of D or better will transfer to Casper College but may not meet prerequisites or program requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    There is no minimum or maximum to transfer credits into Casper College. Earn at least 15 of the semester credits applied toward graduation through the completing of Casper College course work, including at least 6 hours within the desired major.
