  • Accepts Transfers:
    Carroll welcomes transfer applicants. Students are considered transfer candidates if they have completed one or more terms from a regionally accredited college or university.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer students should have a minimum 2.50 overall college grade point average (4.0 scale) to be considered for admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    You must supply final high school transcripts or proof of GED if fewer than 30 semester credits have been earned. College transcripts of all work attempted are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have graduated from high school and have completed at least 24 semester units at a regionally accredited college or university, then ACT and SAT are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Transfer applicants should obtain one recommendation from a college professor.
  • Essay:
    The essay required of all is intended to provide us with a greater appreciation of who you are as a student and as a person. While not a formal writing assessment, the Admission Committee are influenced by the preparation evidenced in your essay.
  • Application Fee:
    A $35 application fee (non-refundable) must accompany the application.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The minimum grade accepted for transfer credit is C.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 60 lower-level credits may be transferred. At least 1/2 of credits required in your major/minor must be taken at Carroll. Of the final 40, 30 semester credits must be earned at Carroll to receive a bachelor's degree.
