• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to be considered for federal financial aid and there is no cost for filing this form. Carnegie Mellon's institutional code is 003242. Carnegie Mellon offers need-based financial aid to admitted students and is committed to meeting their demonstrated need. Carnegie Mellon offers various types of financial aid, including a combination of grant assistance as well as loan and employment options.
• Tuition and Fees:
  Estimated Cost of Attendance: $77,474+ Resident, $65,272+ Commuter. This includes tuition, fees, standard double room & residence fee, dining plan contract, books, miscellaneous, and transportation.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Each year, Carnegie Mellon admits a small number of transfer students, where space permits. The policy for transferring does vary from college to college. Transfer students will only be considered for one college or program within Carnegie Mellon.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Official Transcripts:
  Transfer applicants must submit a college transcript in addition to a high school transcript, and email a copy of course descriptions for courses you've taken from each college/university you attended.
• SAT Scores:
  We require official SAT or ACT Tests if you've previously taken these tests.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  A recommendation from a professor or advisor should be submitted in place of a college counselor recommendation.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement is required.
• Other Requirements:
  Spring transfers must have completed a semester of college before the application deadline in order to apply for admission.
