The Mission of Capital Community College is to provide access to higher education to the diverse residents of the greater Hartford region.   • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The primary function of the Financial Aid Office is to provide assistance in obtaining financial aid to students who would otherwise be unable to attend college due to economic limitations. Capital Community College provides a variety of financial aid programs in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and jobs to eligible students. The amount and type of aid received is dependent upon the student’s financial need as well as annual federal and state allocations.

    Proof of high school completion or GED with an official transcript is required. Submit official transcripts of previous course work from all previously attended colleges.

    A $20.00 non-refundable application fee is required, except for those applicants who have previously attended a Connecticut Community College.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Degree and certificate credit shall be granted for credit courses completed with a letter grade of “C-minus” or better, or with a grade of “P” (Pass).
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The student must complete at least twenty-five percent of the minimum credit requirements at Capital to earn a degree to certificate.
