Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    To be considered for transfer admission you must complete 60 transferable semester or 90 quarter units, which must include a minimum of 30 semester or 45 quarter units in courses approved to meet CSU General Education (GE) requirements.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPS of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required of transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts are required from all previously attended institutions.
  • Other Requirements:
    A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    C is the lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 70 semester units may be transferred from two-year institutions. You must complete 30 credits at Cal State LA to earn a bachelor's degree.
