  • Accepts Transfers:
    Transfer students are those who have completed course work, or who are currently enrolled, at an undergraduate college or other post-secondary institution including a business, trade or technical school.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Applicants who are currently matriculated or non-degree students at an approved degree-granting undergraduate institution other than Queensborough should show, at the time of application, that they have achieved a GPA of 2.00 (or C).
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transcripts for any college work, even if no credits were earned, should be sent to: Queensborough Community College
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $70 non-refundable Transfer Application Fee. There is no filing fee for current CUNY students.
  • Other Requirements:
    Transfer students must also meet requirements for the CUNY Assessment Tests.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    College credit for courses taken elsewhere will be granted ONLY for courses that are completed at the undergraduate level at an accredited degree-granting institution with a minimum grade of “C”. (“D” grades are accepted from other units of CUNY.)
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer students pursuing an Associate’s Degree may NOT receive more than 30 transfer credits from institutions previously attended; no more than 15 credits are accepted towards a certificate program at Queensborough.
