The College of Staten Island is a four-year, senior college of The City University of New York that offers exceptional opportunities to all of its students. Programs in the liberal arts and sciences and professional studies lead to bachelor's and associate's degrees. The master's degree is awarded in 16 professional and liberal arts and sciences fields of study. The College participates in doctoral programs of The City University Graduate School and University Center in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Physics.

Transfer Application Requirements

Minimum GPA:

Students transferring from any accredited institution must have a GPA of 2.0 or better.
Official Transcripts:

Arrange to have transcripts from all colleges/universities/proprietary schools that you have attended sent directly from the institution issuing them. In addition, an official transcript is required from all high schools you have attended.
SAT Scores:

You may be exempted from taking the CUNY/ACT basic skills assessment tests due to your SAT, Regents scores, or if you completed 45 or more credits from an accredited American College/University.
Application Fee:

There is a $70 nonrefundable application fee.
Other Requirements:

A completed Transfer Evaluation Form is required before meeting iwht an Academic Advisor.

Transfer Credit Policy

Credits (Min/Max):

The maximum number of credits that can transfer is 90. To obtain a degree, students must earn a minimum of 30 credits at CSI. To qualify for a bachelor's degree, students must earn 50% of the credits required for the major at CIS.
