Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    BMCC will accept Transfer Students who, in their last semester at their previous institution of higher education, were in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.00 or above.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Applications must be accompanied with all supporting educational documentation: proof of high school graduation and, if applicable, transcripts of each college attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students who have been out of high school for over one year or who have earned their secondary school diploma outside of the United States is not required to submit SAT/ACT scores.
  • Application Fee:
    $70 nonrefundable fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    All documents presented to BMCC should include the student's social security or student ID number.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Students transferring credits from CUNY colleges can receive transfer credit for some ā€œDā€ grades depending on which BMCC major. Students transferring credits from colleges outside of CUNY must have a grade of ā€œCā€ or above in order to be accepted.
