Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    If you took courses at another college, were in good standing during your last semester, and maintained a grade point average of 2.0 or greater you are eligible to transfer to BMCC.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Proof of high school graduation and transcripts from any colleges you have attended are required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Departmental approval must be obtained for science courses taken more than ten (10) years ago.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Students transferring from CUNY colleges can receive credit for some D grades depending on their BMCC major. Students from outside of CUNY must have earned a grade of C or above in order for courses to be accepted.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You can transfer up to 45 credits to BMCC. These courses will be marked with a grade of “TR” on your BMCC transcript.
