  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    BSU’s priority deadline for the FAFSA application is March 1st each year. You must complete the FAFSA each year if you want to be considered for federal and state financial aid. Students may apply after the priority date; however, aid will be awarded on a funds-available basis.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Estimated Cost of Attendance: MA Resident $28,132 (on campus), $15,276 (commuting); Out-of-State $34,272 (on campus), $21,416 (commuting). On-campus costs include tuition, fees, room, meal plan, books, and incidentals.

  • Accepts Transfers:
    BSU welcomes approximately 1,500 transfer students each year — and we make every effort to streamline the process and get you settled in as a member of our community.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    To be eligible for admission, transfer students should have earned one of the following: 12 - 23 transferable college credits and a 2.5 college GPA or 24 transferable college credits and a 2.0 GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transcripts must be sent directly from your previous college(s) to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. For Transfer candidates that have less than 24 credit hours and do not meet the above guidelines, high school transcripts may be submitted.
  • SAT Scores:
    For Transfer candidates that have less than 24 credit hours and do not meet the above guidelines, standardized test scores may be submitted to be considered for admission.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is recommended.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C-.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 69 credits may be transferred from a two-year institution, 90 from a four-year. You must complete 30 credits at Bridgewater to earn a bachelor's degree.
