Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    No, but competitive transfer applicants typically have a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official copies of all high school transcripts and/or GED certificate. Official college transcript(s) from all post-secondary school institutions that you attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT and ACT scores are recommended for transfer applicants, but they are not required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A letter of recommendation from a teacher who has instructed you in a core academic course (math, science, history, foreign language or English).
  • Application Fee:
    $80 application fee (or fee waiver).
  • Interview:
    We are currently offering optional interviews to transfer applicants.
  • Other Requirements:
    A Transfer College Report from all colleges/universities you have attended as a degree-seeking student. A Mid-Term Report that includes grades for all classes, if you're currently in school.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    C- is the lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students may transfer a maximum of 64 credits earned over four full-time semesters. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 64 credits (16 courses) in a minimum of four full-time fall or spring semesters at Brandeis.
