Bluefield State has emerged as a four-year state supported commuter college serving south-eastern West Virginia with a primary thrust in the direction of career and technical two and four year programs. The liberal arts offerings of the College are focused to enhance its unique mission. We offer baccalaureate and associate degrees. Instructional programs are offered in engineering technologies, business, teacher education, arts and sciences, nursing and health science professions, and a variety of career fields. Students may also complete the non-traditional Regents Bachelor of Arts degree through us. Bluefield State College offers a wide variety of courses off campus and through distance.

    Official college transcripts from all previously attended institutions are required. Official high school transcripts are required if you have fewer than 26 earned credit hours for transfer.

    If you have fewer than 26 earned credit hours, official ACT/SAT scores are required.

    Max credits accepted from a 2-year is 72, 96 from a 4-year. You must earn 16 credits at Bluefield State to earn an associate degree and 12 to earn a bachelor's degree.
