  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Financing your education can be a large part of planning to enroll at Biola University. International students are responsible to submit an affidavit of support and bank statement to show how they plan to pay for their education. Biola offers select scholarship opportunities for those who qualify, although this cannot be guaranteed for every applicant. Materials must be received by the appropriate deadline date to qualify for any available scholarships or grants.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    You must have at least a 2.5 cumulative college GPA.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit an official transcript from each high school and each college attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have completed less than 15 transferable units post high school, or if you are a Nursing student, submit your scores from the SAT (Code 4017) or ACT (Code 0172).
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Submit a reference form from a member of the pastoral staff of your church that supports your Christian testimony.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is required with your application.
  • Application Fee:
    Submit a non-refundable $45 application fee. Every advantage goes to the early applicant, and late applications are charged a non-refundable $55 application fee.
  • Interview:
    An interview may be required of some applicants.
  • Other Requirements:
    You must be a believer in the Christian faith. You must have graduated from high school or earned an equivalent degree (GED). If you have fewer than 15 semester units then you must apply as a first time college student.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Any course below a C will not be accepted for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students are permitted to transfer a maximum of 70 units from a community college, 100 from a 4-year. You must complete 30 semester units in residence at Biola to earn your bachelor's degree.
