    Financial aid comes from a variety of sources, including federal, state and local funds. Grants, scholarships, and work-study programs are available to you. Bevill State doesn't participate in any federal student loan programs.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A transfer student whose cumulative GPA at the transfer institution(s) is 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale will be admitted on Clear academic status. A student whose cumulative GPA is less than 2.0 on a 4.0 scale will be admitted on Academic Probation.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and high schools must be sent directly to the appropriate Office of Student Services at Bevill State.
  • SAT Scores:
    Some programs require a minimum ACT score to be on file prior to consideration for admission.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Bevill State does not publish a requirement for letters of recommendation.
  • Essay:
    Bevill State does not publish a requirement for the submission of an essay, nor do they ask for one with your application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply.
  • Interview:
    Bevill State does not publish a requirement for a personal interview.
  • Other Requirements:
    All male students between the ages of 18-26 must register with the United States Military Selective Service prior to admission to the College.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A transfer grade of “D” will only be accepted when the student’s cumulative GPA from the transfer institution is 2.0 or higher.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students who have earned 31 hours or fewer are classified as freshmen. Those who have earned 32 hours or more are classified as sophomores.
