Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college grade point average of 2.50 (on a 4.0 scale) is required of transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Your high school transcript is required if you have been out of high school less than 5 years or have less than 25 transferable semester hours of coursework. Official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary schools are also required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If it has been five years or more since you graduated from high school, ACT/SAT scores are not normally a part of the application process. However, if you would like ACT/SAT scores to be included, please submit official scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Submit a Dean's Evaluation Form and one Personal Recommendation by a professor, employer or someone who is familiar with your goals and abilities as they relate to successfully pursuing a college academic program.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    $25.00 application fee. If the online application is used, the application fee is waived.
  • Interview:
    An admission interview, copy of a resume, written personal statement, and list of training workshops and seminars are examples of additional information that may help us get to know you better during the admission process.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All college-level courses with a grade of C or better that are completed at an approved regionally accredited college or university will transfer to Baldwin-Wallace, given that they fall within the academic scope and level of B-W's programs.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A max of 62 semester hours may transfer from 2-year or community colleges. There is no limit on the number of hours that may be transferred from 4-year institutions; however, the last 32 semester hours of your degree must be earned at Baldwin.

  • Transfer Agreements:
    B-W has strong partnerships with area community colleges. Cuyahoga Community College, Lakeland Community College, and Lorain County Community College offer 2+2 Transfer Agreement with B-W College.
