Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The average GPA of admitted students was a 3.6/4.0 scale.
  • Official Transcripts:
    You must submit an official college or university transcript showing final grades for a full course load. If you are in the process of completing your first semester, then you must apply as a freshman and submit official high school transcripts
  • SAT Scores:
    All applicants who graduated from high school less than five years ago are required to submit their official ACT or SAT score reports.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    We require an official transcript for all secondary schools you have attended. Official college transcripts must be sent from every institution of higher education you have attended.
  • Essay:
    A 250 word personal statement that will better help us understand you as an individual is required. A statement to your first-year roomate describing what it will be like to live with you and what you are looking forward to most is also required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    While not required, interviews are strongly recommended for prospective transfer students.
  • Other Requirements:
    The Mid-Semester Report Form (PDF) is required for all students currently enrolled in college-level classes. Applicants are required to submit syllabi for all college-level courses for which they would like to receive transfer credit.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit is awarded only for faculty approved courses in which the student has earned a grade of “C” (2.0/4.0) or better.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer students must complete at least two years of study at Babson in order to earn their degrees, therefore, the maximum number of transfer credits Babson will award is 63.
