Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum college GPA required for transferring is 2.2. Transfer students should also have no Ds or Fs in the previous two semesters.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer students must submit official transcripts from any and all colleges and universities attended, whether or not credit was given. No high school transcripts required if 28+ semester units have been completed at an accredited institution.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you've completed at least one year of full-time college work, or 12 transferable academic units in one semester, you do not need to submit test scores when applying for admission.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Each applicant must supply a Christian Character Reference from a person familiar with the applicant’s character, such as a counselor, pastor, youth director, or close family friend.
  • Essay:
    A Personal Statement describing why you're called to APU's Christian environment is required with your application.
  • Application Fee:
    A nonrefundable $45 application fee must be submitted.
  • Other Requirements:

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses with a grade of C- or above will be considered for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The university can give credit for no more than 70 semester units of junior or 2-year college work, and a max of 90 units may be accepted from a 4-year. No upper-division credit can be given for courses taken at a junior or 2-year college.
