Avila, a Catholic University sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, is a values-based community of learning providing liberal arts, professional, undergraduate and graduate education to prepare students for responsible lifelong contributions to the global community. Founded in 1916, Avila has rich history of education and community service. Nestled in South Kansas City, Avila provides students with all the resources of a big city university (no more than 15 minutes to the Plaza, 20 minutes to Westport, and 25 minutes to downtown and the Power and Light District) in beautiful suburban setting. So, be your interest: Business, the arts, education, or healthcare: you can be sure that Avila will help you succeed.
