  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    AUM has a priority deadline of March 1 each year. This means the Federal Processor must receive the FAFSA on or before March 1st. Incoming transfer students from any of Alabama’s regionally accredited community colleges may be eligible for one of our many transfer scholarships available. These scholarships range from $1,000 per year to $4,000 per year towards full tuition and fees.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer students with a minimum of 24 hours of completed coursework will need a min GPA of 2.0. Those with fewer than 24 hours will need a min GPA of 2.3 (unweighted high school).
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from each college or university previously attended are required. Transfer students with fewer than 24 hours of completed coursework are required to provide an official high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer students with fewer than 24 hours of completed coursework will need to provide official ACT 18 or SAT 940 standardized test scores.
  • Other Requirements:
    A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Courses with grades of D are only acceptable in those programs in which grades of D are acceptable for equivalent freshman and sophomore courses at Auburn University.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    50% of credit hours required for a degree may be transferred from 2-year colleges. There is no limit from a 4-year university, however you must complete 25% of the total credit hours for graduation in residence at AUM.
