Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    If you have earned fewer than 24 semester hours the minimum required cumulative GPA for transfer admission consideration is 2.5 College and 2.8 College of Architecture. If you have 24+ completed hours the minimum cumulative GPA required is 2.5 College and 2.8 College of Architecture.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended are required. If you have earned fewer than 24 semester hours your official high school transcript is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have earned fewer than 24 semester hours your official standardized test scores are required.
  • Application Fee:
    $50 non-refundable - applicants who are eligible for a Pell grant can receive a transfer admission fee waiver.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit for Core Curriculum English writing courses is allowed only on grades of C or better. Courses with grades of D are only acceptable for transfer in degree programs in which grades of D are acceptable for equivalent courses taken at Auburn.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum credit allowed will be equivalent to one-half of the student’s curriculum at Auburn but not to exceed 96 quarter hours or 64 semester hours. 25% of total semester hours required for the bachelor's degree must be earned at Auburn.
