Assumption College, the fourth-oldest Catholic college in New England, was founded in 1904 by the Augustinians of the Assumption.   • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Merit Scholarships of $12,000 to $20,000 are offered based on academic achievement. In addition, Phi Theta Kappa Honors Scholars receive an extra $2,500. All transfer applications are reviewed for Merit Scholarships. Students applying for financial aid must complete and submit the FAFSA. Our FAFSA code is 002118.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer applicants should be in good standing, have a GPA of 2.5 or better and have demonstrated the ability to do college-level work at an accredited institution.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Applicants must send an official high school transcript or GED and official college transcripts with at least 12 credits of coursework completed (24 is preferable) from each post-secondary school attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT or ACT scores are optional.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    One letter of recommendation from a professor at the last college attended or from a high school teacher if not presently enrolled in college.
  • Essay:
    A personal statement about your college education and why attending Assumption College will be of value to you.
  • Application Fee:
    A non-refundable fee of $50.
  • Interview:
    Recommended by not required.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    No.
  • Other Requirements:
    College Official's Report from present school attended. A catalog or catalog Web site address from each college attended.

Transfer Credit Policy

    C or better for equivalent courses at Assumption to transfer credits.

    At least 20 of the 40 semester courses needed to graduate from Assumption must be taken in the undergraduate school or through the Colleges of Worcester Consortium as an Assumption College student.
