ASUN is a campus of the Arkansas State University System. The essential purpose of Arkansas State University-Newport is to provide a two-year postsecondary program of education responsive to the needs of the clientele.     Several types of financial aid are available to ASUN students. You may receive one or a combination of types depending on your financial need and other eligibility factors. The four major types of aid are as follows: Grants, Scholarships, Loans, and Employment.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    There is a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for transfer.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official high school transcript or GED Scores, as well as official college transcripts from ALL colleges attended, is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    The submission of ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS scores is required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Registration with the Selective Service System is required, unless you are exempt. You must also submit proof of (2) two Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Shots.
