It was 1965 when Anoka-Ramsey Community College enrolled its first students in college. Today, more than 150,000 people have attended courses at the college that has grown to two full campuses in Coon Rapids and Cambridge and ten off-campus locations. Courses range from short-term training/certificate programs to two-year, four-year and graduate degrees. Meeting the needs of the citizens of Coon Rapids and surrounding communities remains top priority as the college constantly adjusts its strategic plan.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Complete and submit a FAFSA form as early as possible in the school year. Each year, the FAFSA becomes available on October 1 for the following school year. This application will determine whether you are eligible for loans, grants or work-study. Many Anoka-Ramsey students receive scholarships each year. In fact, students often graduate from Anoka-Ramsey nearly debt-free due to college scholarships.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Tuition per credit: $164.72 in-house courses; $211.85 nursing courses; $202.52 online courses. Total per credit with fees: $189.39 in-house; $236.52 nursing; $225.09 online.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    If you have earned college-level credits through AP, IB, PSEO, or another college/university, you need to request an official transcript be sent to Anoka-Ramsey.
  • SAT Scores:
    Valid assessment test scores on the Accuplacer, ACT, SAT, MCA, etc., previous high school GPA and coursework, and previously earned college-level credit can be used to determine a student's placement level in English/Reading/Math.
