Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Angelo State has a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 on all completed transferable coursework.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts of all college or university work. Students with fewer than 18 transferable college-level hours must submit an official high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students with fewer than 18 transferable college-level hours must submit official SAT/ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Angelo State does not require letters of recommendation.
  • Essay:
    Angelo State does not require the submission of an essay.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    Angelo State does not require a personal interview.
  • Other Requirements:
    You are required to submit Texas Success Initiative (TSI) scores or proof or exemption.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades from all transferable courses will be used for admission purposes, but will not be calculated into the cumulative GPA. Only transfer grades of C or above can potentially be used toward an ASU degree plan. Grade of WF is averaged as F.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 66 hours may be used toward ASU degree plans from accredited 2-year colleges. ASU requires a minimum of 30 semester credit hours to be taken in residence, including 24 credit hours of advanced work in order to receive a bachelor's.
