Accepts Transfers:
Transfer students with 24 or more transferable credits and a cumulative grade point average of 2.3 or higher will be strong candidates for admission into the baccalaureate program.

Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
Vocational courses and courses which are listed as “no equivalent” at Adams State can be considered for credit if grades of A, B, or C have been earned.
Credit For Life Experience:
We use Prior Learning Assessment to determine if learning acquired through work experience, employer training programs, military training, independent study, non-credit courses, and volunteer and community service can be used for college credit.

Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA:
Transfer students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.3 or higher will be strong candidates for admission. Transfer students with a cumulative grade point average below 2.3 will be considered on an individual basis.
Official Transcripts:
Official transcripts from all colleges attended are required. Official high school transcripts are required of transfer students with less than 24 transferable credits.
SAT Scores:
Official ACT or SAT scores are required of transfer students with less than 24 transferable credits.
Letters of Recommendation:
Transfer students with a cumulative GPA below 2.3 are strongly encouraged to submit letters of recommendation.
Essay:
Transfer students with a cumulative GPA below 2.3 are strongly encouraged to submit a personal statement.

Transfer Credit Policy
Minimum Grade:
We will accept work in which grades of A, B, C, P (pass), CR (credit) and S were earned for transfer credit. Courses in which a grade of D was earned are not accepted for transfer unless the course is an integral part of an associate degree.
Credits (Min/Max):
There is a limit of 90 transfer hours accepted. Students are required to complete a minimum of 30 institutional hours to obtain a BA or BS degree. Transfer credit more than 10 years old must be evaluated by the transfer student coordinator.
