  • Minimum GPA:
The transfer GPA is used only for determining admissibility to the UW. Some undergraduate programs at the UW, such as business administration or engineering, have selective admission policies. When they review transcripts, they may calculate the GPA differently; for example, some departments use only courses in the major field or the GPA earned in the last 45 credits.
  • Official Transcripts:
Official college transcripts from all previously attended institutions and high school transcripts are required.
  • Essay:
An essay or personal statement is required.
  • Other Requirements:
All transfer applicants must complete a minimum level of preparation in six subject areas before applying. Some UW majors will require an additional application during the UW admissions process.
