    The application for admission also serves as the scholarship application; therefore, students wishing to be considered for competitive scholarships must apply for admission and be accepted by April 1 for fall enrollment and by November 1 for spring enrollment.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all colleges attended are required. An official high school transcript is required of transfer applicants with fewer than 24 hours of transferable college credit (completed after high school) at the time of application.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT or SAT scores are required of transfer applicants with fewer than 24 hours of transferable college credit (completed after high school) at the time of application.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    TRANSFER GRADES ARE CALCULATED by using the grades for all courses accepted in transfer (this includes D's and F's earned in courses normally accepted for credit at Truman.) The resulting transfer GPA will be used for admission as well as graduation.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Transfer students wishing to graduate in a baccalaureate degree program must earn a minimum of 45 credit hours at Truman, with the last 28 taken in residence. A minimum of 15 credit hours of required major coursework must be completed at Truman.
