Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    To be eligible to enroll as a transfer student at Columbia, you must have completed, or be registered for, 24 points of credit (the equivalent of one year of full-time study) at another institution, as well as have earned a high school diploma.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    An official high school transcript from all high schools attended and an official college transcript from all colleges attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT and ACT scores are not currently required. Transfer applicants will still be expected to submit results from tests taken in past years.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Two academic recommendation letters from college professors.
  • Application Fee:
    $85 application fee or fee waiver request
  • Other Requirements:
    The Coalition Application Transfer Report and the Coalition Application Curriculum Report are required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    C is the lowest grade earned for any course that may be considered for transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum number of semester credits that will be accepted for transfer is 60. You must complete 60 credits at Columbia to be eligible for a bachelor's degree.
